CPPP model will give new energy to Consumer Federation: Minister Sarang

Cooperative Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang while reviewing the activities of Madhya Pradesh State Cooperative Consumer Federation on Tuesday said that innovative steps will have to be taken to make the Consumer Federation economically strong and relevant. To revive the union, CPPP (Co-operative Public Private Partnership) model should be adopted, which will bring modernity and competitiveness in the business activities of the union. Minister Sarang directed the officials to prepare a concrete action plan to connect the Consumer Federation with the global market.

Under this, possibilities of working with big national and international brands should be explored. He said that the consumer centers run by the Consumer Federation should be made multi-purpose. Because these centers are located at prominent locations in the cities and can become a center of attraction for connecting big brands. In the meeting, Minister Sarang reviewed in detail the current financial status, business, human resources, and possibilities of business growth of the Consumer Federation. He directed that the Consumer Federation should prepare a framework to connect business activities with other cooperative institutions of the state while working on the principle of cooperation with cooperatives.
