Ensure monitoring of complex construction

Navdunia Representative, Bhopal: Appointment of an officer at the departmental level will be ensured for continuous monitoring of the infrastructure works of the international sports complex being built in Barkheda Nathu. Sports Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang gave these instructions in the review meeting of the construction work. He inquired about the progress of the first and second phase works.

He said that a concrete action plan should be prepared for the construction of administrative building, server room, IT room and a modern auditorium for the smooth operation of the complex and organizing various national-international sports competitions. Minister Shri Sarang also directed to compulsorily obtain departmental approval before purchasing equipment related to basic facilities like electricity, water supply, sanitation.

Make payment only after No Objection Certificate

It will be mandatory for the construction agency to obtain No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Sports Department before making payment to any associated agency. He also directed to submit separate project planning reports for electrical system, fire safety, signage, administrative building and horticulture works to be done in the campus. Additional Chief Secretary Manu Shrivastava, Sports Director Rakesh Gupta, Joint Director BS Yadav and other officials including representatives of the construction agency were present in the review meeting.
