Exchange program will start soon to enhance the skills of hockey players

'Player Exchange Program' will be started to include Madhya Pradesh among the leading states of the country in the field of hockey. Under this program, talented players of the state will be able to get training in prestigious academies of the country and abroad. Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Vishwas Sarang gave these instructions in the review meeting of Madhya Pradesh Men's Hockey Sports Academy on Friday. He said that foreign expert coaches should also be invited to make the quality of training more effective. He also asked to organize special training camps for goalkeepers. ACS Manu Srivastava, Sports Director Rakesh Gupta, Joint Director BS Yadav, Academy coaches and related officials were present in the meeting.
29 seats vacant
In the meeting, it was informed that 56 seats for boarding and 18 seats for day-boarding are approved in the academy. Out of these, currently 42 seats are filled in boarding and 3 in day-boarding. 14 seats in boarding and 15 seats in day-boarding are vacant at present. The minister directed to fill the vacant seats soon.
