I still stand by my statement of shooting love jihadis in the chest: Vishwas
- July 08, 2025
Madhya Pradesh's Cooperative, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Vishwas Sarang spoke candidly on the issues of youth in the state, love jihad, Hindutva etc. in a session based on the topic 'How to make the state of youth's dreams'.
Vishwas Sarang also shared his views on the challenges of starting medical studies in Hindi in Madhya Pradesh and the achievements of the government, as well as he remained firm on his famous statements on the issue of Hindutva. He clearly said that I am proud to be a Hindu. On his earlier statement of shooting love jihadis in the leg and not shooting them in the chest, he said that he still stands by it. Minister Sarang said that the government is serious about the cases of love jihad. That is why we have implemented the Religious Freedom Act. Cases have been registered against people in such cases.
I want to say that if there is any evil in the society, then it has to be dealt with strictly and we will deal with it. Now there will be no cases like love jihad in Madhya Pradesh.
If you talk about Hindu, they call you communal
On Hindutva, Sarang said that we say with strength that we are Hindus. I do not say this just for political gain. Congress has taken the politics of appeasement so far that if I say 'I am a Hindu', then this is not accepted. If I talk about land jihad or love jihad, then we are labelled communal. Being a Hindu is my origin and we are proud of it.
Medical studies are being done in Hindi
Sarang said that he is happy that during my tenure as Medical Education Minister, Hindi studies of medical could be started in the state. PM Modi talked about the National Education Policy and talked about providing technical and medical education in Hindi as well. We took it as a challenge. When we sat with our officials for the first time and discussed this, then looking at the body language of the officials, it seemed that there was complete negativity, but we started and explained to the faculty of medical teachers. After about eight months of hard work, I converted medical books. Medical terms were written with English names only.
