Minister Sarang honored hockey player Sagar

Cooperation, Sports, and Youth Welfare Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang honored hockey player Vivek Sagar at the Tatya Tope Stadium on Tuesday. Vivek's outstanding performance in the recent Hockey Asia Cup 2025 held in Rajgir, Bihar, not only played a key role in the Indian team's victory, but also demonstrated his athletic skills and leadership abilities throughout the tournament. Minister Sarang said that due to players like Vivek, Madhya Pradesh's sports identity is being established not only nationally but also internationally.
This streak of victories for Indian hockey will continue unabated.
It is noteworthy that in the final of the Asia Cup 2028 played in Rajgir, the Indian hockey team defeated South Korea 4-1 to win the Asia Cup title for the fourth time. With this historic victory, the Indian team has also qualified for the upcoming Hockey World Cup. Minister Sarang, while heartily congratulating the captain, coach and all the players on this achievement of the Indian team, said that this series of victory of Indian hockey will continue uninterrupted and Indian hockey will achieve new heights.
