Cooperative Minister Vishwas Sarang said that the Jan Dhan Yojana implemented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the direction of connecting villages and farmers with our economy, its main objective is to connect villages and farmers with the country's economy. Its positive results are coming in front of us today.
Shri Sarang said that following this, with the resolve of Golden Madhya Pradesh, we are working for the progress of the state using various means of innovation under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. Shri Sarang was addressing the state level workshop organized under the joint aegis of Apex Bank, Cooperative Department and Regulatory Authority on business diversification of cooperative institutions through Warehousing Development and Regulatory Authority in the Coordination Building of Apex Bank. Shri Sarang said that till the economy does not come out from the door of the common man, there will be no strength. If we want to make farmers prosperous, then first we have to make efforts towards making PACS (Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies) prosperous. This workshop will definitely prove to be a milestone.
Shri Sarang said that I expect the Chief Executive Officers of the District Bank to start efforts from today itself to make every PACS of Madhya Pradesh a member of WRDA (Warehousing Development and Regulatory Authority), so that in future the farmers of the state do not have to face problems in far-flung areas and get benefited by keeping their produce safe in their nearest WRDA member warehouse. Till the storage is not organized, farmers will not be able to get its benefit.
In the workshop, Shri Sarang also released the booklet of standard operating procedure published by Apex Bank on warehouse registration under the scheme of Warehousing Development and Regulatory Authority and authorized State Warehousing Managing Director Anurag Verma, MP State Cooperative Federation Managing Director Rituraj Ranjan and Joint Commissioner of Cooperative Department's Innovation Cell Mahendra Dixit to work on the plan to build warehouses in the state.
