Show-cause notices will be issued, officers should work honestly

A state level cooperative workshop was organized at Samanvay Bhavan on Wednesday to commemorate the International Cooperative Year-2025. The program was inaugurated by Cooperative Minister Vishwas Sarang. On this occasion, he said that the cooperative movement can be strengthened only through transparency, honesty and innovation. He called upon the entire team of the Cooperative Department to work with determination. During the workshop, Minister Sarang expressed displeasure over the officers absent without information and directed to issue show-cause notices to them. He appealed to the officers to work with honesty and commitment.
Strengthening PACS is the need of the hour: Minister Vishwas Sarang said that strengthening PACS is the need of the hour. For this, divisional and district officers should inspect the subordinate PACS and the headquarters officers should also fulfill division-wise responsibility. He said that new employment opportunities can be created in rural areas through PACS. Minister Sarang praised the changes taking place in the field of cooperation under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that today prosperity is being brought to the homes of the poor through cooperation. On this occasion, he praised the innovation wing and CPPP model of Madhya Pradesh, which was recently rated as the best in the country in the presentation given to the Central Government. Every PACS should adopt 3 additional activities: Barnwal: In the program, Additional Chief Secretary Ashok Barnwal said that every PACS should adopt three additional activities besides credit. He talked about increasing business by keeping in mind the local opportunities and said that strengthening PACS is a priority. At the same time, Cooperative Commissioner and Registrar Manoj Pushp emphasized on the officials to implement the modelization of cooperation on the ground and develop PACS as a business unit. Managing Director of Apex Bank Manoj Kumar Gupta gave the welcome speech in the workshop and Deputy Secretary Manoj Sinha gave information about the guidelines of the Central Government. Senior officials of the Cooperative Department, CEOs of District Cooperative Banks, Committee Managers and other officials were present in large numbers in the program.
